Printable PDF plans for our super simple, and very affordable tiny A Frame cabin. Exactly what you need to create your own retreat, backyard ADU or home office, campsite rental hut, or a kid's play structure.

It can be built in two weekends and is just under 120 sq ft, which means there’s no permit required in most jurisdictions.

These plans are novice ready and were intentionally designed as an easy to build beginner project. No roof panels need to be cut, most of the plywood uses full sheets, and no special tools are required. It uses readily accessible materials as efficiently as possible.

Ours was built in the trees, but yours doesn't have to be! The plans detail how to build the A Frame on a variety of backyard foundations (gravel, paving stones, etc), but they also detail how to construct it in the trees, if you're so inclined. And yes there is room for a tiny wood stove on either side of the door.

SIZE: 118 sq ft. Footprint measures approximately 10x12 ft. Total height is 10.5 ft.

COST: $2500 USD. Material choices and local pricing will vary the total build cost.

WHAT’S INCLUDED: Instantly available digital download includes printable PDF 40 page step-by-step instructions, builder-ready blueprints, a materials list, a cut list, a digital album of 400 photos and videos of the build process, and a bonus 3D Sketchup model of the cabin.
