These are the plans for our super simple, and very cheap ($2,500), tiny A Frame cabin and are exactly what you need to create your own retreat, a backyard ADU or home office, AirBnB or HipCamp campsite huts, or a kid's play structure.

--It's novice ready! Intentionally designed as a beginner project. No roof panels need to be cut, most of the plywood uses full sheets, and no special tools are required. It was designed to be incredible easy to build and to use readily accessible materials as efficiently as possible.

--This A Frame is a DIY build that was able to be completely built in only two weekends at the low cost of $2500 in materials (and yes, that's every piece of wood, hardware, and screw, plus tax, in current prices... these materials were purchased in January 2022.)

--The A Frame is just under 120 square feet (about 10 x 12 feet) which means it's under the limit for structures requiring a permit in most jurisdictions. No permit required!

--Ours was built in the trees, but yours doesn't have to be! The plans detail how to build the A Frame on a variety of backyard foundations (gravel, paving stones, etc), but they also detail how to construct it in the trees, if you're so inclined.

--Included in this package are detailed digital 3D plans, builder ready blueprints, a complete materials list with links to products, over 400 photos and videos of the building process, and 40 pages of step-by-step instruction with accompanying photos — all the information needed to build your own dreamy escape.

--These plans are both contractor-ready blueprints and a 3D Sketchup model. Sketchup is a CAD program that allows you to construct in 3D, explore the build, examine all the details of joinery and framing, modify the design, and hide layers. Measurements can be taken and screenshots can be printed. Even if you don’t intend to build things exactly shown this is a great starting point to adapt it to your needs. Sketchup is available in paid premium versions (with free trials), and as an always-free web app, so there is no added cost to using this model.

--Plans include materials list and info for the bed frame.

--Yes there is room for a wood stove. On either side of the door there is 45 inches of space from the door to the wall.
